(Finally an update!)
Merry Christmas 2007!
Crockett, Brooke, Lexie, Alyssa, Corinne, and Asa
NEW IN THIS UPDATE:
Christmas 2007 (no promises of anything else, but I'll get as much in as I can)
COMING SOON:
In other news...
Crockett and Asa finished rugby season
in late November. Both have decided to take a break from rugby
and will try to play soccer in the spring. They continue to do
Cub Scouting.
Lexie started preschool in November as well. She is attending the
Belgian preschool / kindergarden at SHAPE--Madame Veronique is her
wonderful teacher.
Crockett will be returning to the American sector of the SHAPE
International School. Both boys decided to give the Belgian
sector a chance with the stipulation they had to stay until Christmas
break to determine if they wanted to stay there (and have every class
in French), or return to the American school. Asa chose to stay
in the Belgian school, so this will be the first time they haven't been
together at school since Crockett began kindergarden in San Antonio.
We've had the pleasure of hosting our niece since October. She
came over from Texas to help out with the kids while I've been
travelling so much through the fall. The rest of her family
joined us two days before Christmas and will use our house as home base
as they travel throughout Europe for the remainder of the Christmas
break--its been nice to have familiar faces...especially family... here
with us!!
Prayer Requests
- Several
days ago, Clay's Uncle Gerald underwent quintuple bypass surgery in
Texas. The reports are that he is doing very well...the surgery
was luckily a preventive measure since no catastrophic event had yet
occurred.
-
During Johnna's recent business trip to Norfolk, Virginia, one of her
co-workers, a Norwegian Navy commander, Thom Knustad, suffered a
massive heart attack. He leaves behind a wife and two teenage
boys.
-
In early October, one of Johnna's close co-workers, British Royal Navy
Commander Lee Abernethy also suffered a massive heart attack and
died. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters, age 5 and 7.
-
Finally, we'd like to keep all those in mide who are in harm's way,
wherever they may be, and whatever the reason they find themselves
there.
